What Does a Wedding Planner Do?
What does a wedding planner do?
Do I need a wedding planner?
Can I afford a wedding planner?
These are all very good questions. There are not many wedding planners/wedding coordinators in our area. Some people call themselves wedding coordinators, but only coordinate the actual reception at the venue. Some people need wedding planners and some do not. It’s a personal preference. Many brides believe they can not afford a planner, that they are only for the wealthy. This is simply not true. I am writing to explain what a wedding planner does and how much time, energy and stress it will save you.
Think of a wedding planner as your personal assistant. A planner will be able to help you create your wedding the way you envision it, as well as give you creative ideas on design, style and color themes. If you are an out of town bride, getting married in NEPA, she will be your extra set of hands to get everything done that you aren’t able to do yourself. A wedding planner will create timelines and budgets to help keep you on tract. Planners have contacts to many wedding vendors, some that will give you discounts. She can help you choose the right vendors to meet your needs and budget, negotiate pricing and read over your contracts to make sure you are getting what you paid for. Your planner will make appointments for you as well as attend the appointments with you. On your wedding day, your planner will supervise vendor set-up and delivery, handle any problems that arise, and soothe your nerves. A wedding planner will hold your hand through the whole wedding process to make sure everything goes your way down to the last detail!
Many planners offer different price ranges to fit all brides needs and budgets. Whether you just need a little help or a lot of help, they will have a package right for you.
