The Big Question - How Can I Personalize My Wedding Day?
I create wedding stationery for brides all over the nation and on a daily basis I help these brides personalize their day. The brides I work with are inevitably creative with many other aspects of their wedding day. With the help of brides from coast to coast I have put together a list of the top 20 ways to personalize your wedding day!
- Have an artist hand-paint a design on your ceremony aisle runner.
 - Instead of favors donate to a local charity of great meaning to both you and your fiancé.
- Have an important friend or family member perform your wedding ceremony
- Have your florist weave special items into your bouquet. For example, a promise ring, your grandmother’s broach etc…
- Have a bakery create mini cakes or cookie cakes for each of your guests. Attach favor tags to each with personalized messages acknowledging birthdays or anniversaries.
- Use a creative approach when displaying your seating cards. Cut leaf shapes and attach with pins to a Styrofoam ring - voila a wreath!
- Give your guests a favor with regional flair - mini pies from a favorite bakery or perhaps a Hershey bar!

- Have a designer create a monogram to be used throughout the entire celebration from invitations to your wedding cake.
- Surprise your guests with a bag of goodies in their hotel room. Be sure to include unique items like wedding weekend itineraries, custom labeled water bottles and lip balm!
- Work with your officiant to include special music in your ceremony. Have a musician arrange special selections from a Broadway show or current hit.
- Create snack boxes for your wedding party to include nuts, water, mints and other light fare to tide them over between photos.
- Give members of the wedding party individual gifts that speak of their interests and tastes - long gone are the days of mandatory matching bridal party gifts.

- Offer your guests a dessert buffet at the reception - it is basically a table full of desserts for self serve enjoyment….sure to be a hit!
- Send super fun and unexpected save the dates. A noisemaker for a New Year’s Wedding, sunglasses for a beach wedding - I think you get the idea!
- Serve a signature drink at the reception - have fun and be creative!
- Forgo the traditional wedding cake for a tower of cupcakes or creampuffs.
- Create custom crossword puzzle to entertain your guests at the reception table.
- Hire an artist to follow you throughout the day to capture special moments on canvas. Imagine what a conversation piece to hang above your mantle!

- Create collage of photos and keepsakes that are special to you and your fiancé. Request an additional table to display at the reception. Create small tent cards to explain the meaning behind each item displayed. This is a great way to involve your guests further in the meaningfulness of your day.
- Send a keepsake thank you note. Perhaps a card which contains your favorite pic from your photographer for the recipient to frame or place in a scrapbook.
