Brides on a Budget
The average wedding in the US today costs $22,000 and twice that in larger cities. Most of the clients that I work with are on a limited budget. More and more of the couples I work with are paying for their own weddings with little or no help from their parents.Â
Most couples don’t know where to begin or they set a budget and totally blow it. First you need to sit down and set a realistic budget. Then you need to make a list of things that are and are not important to you. This will show you where you should focus your money. Many of my brides cut out videography and downsize on flowers. If you cut out a few things that are not important to you, then you can focus that money somewhere else such as your reception hall or photography.
I give all of my brides a worksheet to fill out to help keep them on track with their budget. Here is a simplified version to give you a start.

I hope this helps!Â
