Following Jen’s recent post regarding wedding trends I thought i would add my thoughts on what is hot in invitations this season!

Its all about pattern this year.  Brides love the look of soft lacy patterns with strong color schemes to boot!  I have seen a lot of interest in light colored patterns against bright backgrounds.

 

I am also seeing a huge interest in chocolate brown and soft colors such as pale pink, blues and purple. 

Bold patterns are also gaining popularity recently like this one below.  The pattern is less obvious as the floral design is less repetitive.  Using pattern of any kind in your decor details allows you to bring in many colors and textures into the look of your day.  Pattern is also very forgiving and neutral visually so it really blends well with a variety of other elements you may want to include in your day.
